Prayer Requests
Many people have been asking us how they can specifically be praying for us as we soon embark on our mission. In the next few weeks, please pray for us as we finish preparing for our journey and as we say goodbye to friends and family. We leave the US on August 18. Throughout the next two years, please pray for:
- Effectiveness in serving the Lord and boundless opportunities for sharing our faith
- Direction in where the ship sails
- Good health, safety, good weather for sailing
- Oneness in our marriage
- Good friendship to develop

Home Sweet Home
Back home again in Indiana.... We arrived last Monday in Indy to spend 1 1/2 weeks with Jennifer's parents. We've been having a great time in Indiana! Previous to arriving in Indiana, we spent about a week in Denver visiting Jennifer's brother Scott, his wife Jen and their baby Gavin. We had the time of our lives. Gavin is the cutest little guy ever! We'll post more pictures soon. We LOVE being an aunt and uncle. Jennifer's parents flew out to Denver, so we could all be together one last time before we leave the US. We also celebrated Gavin's first birthday. What a hoot! Then we spent a few days in route in Kansas visiting Jennifer's college friend Kristen and her husband Zac. We had a fabulous time catching up. We'll be in Indy until Friday and then are heading out East to visit with more friends and family. Hard to believe we're over half way through our road trip. We're so thankful we took the time to have this roadtrip before we leave for the ship. It has been such a special time for us and such a good transition between living in Redwood City and boarding the Logos Hope.

Roadtrip!
We're already almost two weeks into our seven week road trip! We packed up all of our belongs in San Francisco and moved out of our apartment on June 30. We've already visited friends and family in Santa Barbara, LA, San Diego, Tuscon, and Denver! We also explored the Grand Canyon! What an amazing place. Wow. We flew from Denver to Altanta for an Ashford family reunion and have been enjoying being in the South tremendously. John had an amazing family down in Georgia, so we're having a blast spending time with all of his aunts and uncles and cousins. We fly back tomorrow and then will spend several days with my brother, sister-in-law and baby nephew in Denver. We couldn't be more excited to soon be spending time with the cutest little guy in the whole world!!
