Gothenburg, Sweden

We've been doing a bit of research about our new port town. Unfortunately, we'll only be in Sweden for the weekend, so won't have too much time to explore, but we were still curious about learning about this interesting city! Gothenburg is Sweden's second biggest city and it's the most important trading and industrial city in Sweden. The city is located on the West coast of Sweden (Stockholm is on the East coast). The population is approximately 500k. The city is Scandinavia's biggest port, with 10,000 ships and three million ferry passengers arriving each year. Gothenburg was founded in 1621 by King Gustav II Adolf.

We had a truly amazing experience sailing in this morning. We've never been this far north, so it was quite amazing to see big pieces of ice floating in the water as we sailed in! As we sailed in, we passed hundreds of small islands covered in snow. I thought we had sailed into the North Pole! I half expected Santa Claus to pop up! :) We're as far north as Juneau, Alaska! Amazing. We are so thankful that God has brought us on this journey. What a blessing to be able to be a part of Logos Hope's Maiden Voyage.

Nice and interesting blog!
You don’t know me, but I’m from Sweden Gothenburg and I had the opportunity to visit Logos Hope and I must say, I’m impressed and touch by the way Our lord is using a ship and it’s crew. Thank you for the visit in our town.
